The annual Danbing Festival at Yongkang Xishi Guangxing Temple
is set to take place on February 29th.
The local shops making fruit cakes have now passed the craft down to the third generation.
To ensure that the tradition of carrying water cakes can be passed on to the younger generation and students,
the Yongkang District Farmers' Association 4-H Club
went to Xishi Elementary School to teach students how to make fruit cakes,
while also explaining the history and origins of these cakes
as well as the human touch behind these customs.
