2026 Taiwan Pastry Silver Diamond Award

As soon as I got home on the day of the award ceremony

Master Chef: "Let's go! Head to the end of the alley and set off some firecrackers! I’ll make some calls to order a ten-table banquet!"

Me: "Wait, wait, wait... don't be ridiculous, we really don't need such a big fuss 😂"

Master Chef: "Of course we need to celebrate! I worked so hard, it’s not easy to finally win an award!"

Me: "You're being too dramatic, nobody does things like that anymore 😂"

Seeing the amused look on his face as his enthusiasm was dampened and he grumbled to himself

I handed him the trophy: "How about this, why don't you go show it to Grandpa first?"

I watched as he held the trophy with both hands and hurried to the shrine room. He spent ages adjusting the angle, lit some incense, and earnestly told Grandpa that we had been working hard to properly pass down his traditional craft, and expressed his hope that Grandpa would continue to watch over us all.

Today, as soon as the fresh congratulatory banner arrived, the Master Chef immediately got into position: "Quick! Take a picture of me!"

Seeing the Master Chef so happy, I really can't help but admire him.

This recognition for our "Mini Fruit Cake - Pineapple Snow Oolong" from the Ministry of Economic Affairs' [Taiwan Cake Silver Diamond Award] is dedicated to Grandpa in heaven, to the Master Chef who has spent his entire life kneading dough and baking cakes, and to each and every one of you who supports us!
