Handmade workshop and Taiwanese language teaching activity
Collaborating with Tainan Basics
What made them different was
that we incorporated Taiwanese language teaching this time,
attempting to introduce the unique culture of the Danbing Festival
and the traditions of fruit cakes in Taiwanese.
Through hands-on experience,
we let everyone be an apprentice for a day,
experiencing how to turn flour and water into a smooth, chewy dough,
We helped everyone understand what makes fruit cakes unique,
while personally experiencing the challenges of making traditional pastries.
Through this event,
we also taught everyone the Taiwanese names for common baking tools,
and let them try out what it was like to carry a shoulder pole in the old days.
We hope that these scenarios
helped deepen everyone's impression of Taiwanese vocabulary—
learning through daily life and through application.
